From Sketches to Sales Success: How Design Helped Hilton Foods Land a Major Deal

Today, we’re serving up a delicious slice of success straight from the PHd Design kitchen. Picture this: a high-stakes pitch, a major client, and a design challenge hotter than a sizzling steak on a summer barbecue. It’s the story of how we helped Hilton Foods clinch the deal of a lifetime with Tesco, and we’re here to spill the beans (or should we say, grill the steaks?) on how we made it happen!

 

Setting the Scene

So, imagine Hilton Foods gearing up for a crucial sales pitch with retail giant Tesco. The pressure was on, the clock was ticking, but fear not – PHd Design stepped up to the plate (pun intended) to transform their office space into a visual feast fit for a Tesco triumph.

A Cut Above the Rest: The Design Strategy

At PHd Design, we believe in more than just pretty pictures – we’re all about crafting strategic designs that pack a punch. With Hilton Foods’ big moment on the horizon, we knew we had to pull out all the stops. From office signage to immersive infographics, we left no stone unturned in showcasing Hilton’s expertise and understanding of Tesco’s customer base.

From Farm to Table: Bringing the Vision to Life

Picture this: meeting rooms adorned with window graphics of lush green fields, hallways bursting with vibrant illustrations of ethical food traceability, and mock-up profiles of five fictitious families, each representing a key demographic segment. We delved deep into the minds of Tesco shoppers, showcasing their interests, finances, and shopping habits in a way that was as informative as it was engaging.

Lights, Camera, Action: The Grand Finale

But wait, there’s more! As the pièce de résistance, we unveiled a virtual reality cinema (complete with reclaimed Odeon seats, no less) predicting the future shopping habits of Tesco’s customers. And to top it all off, we transformed Hilton’s meeting room into a modern, funky space, showcasing their evolution as a company and the benefits they bring to the table for Tesco.

The Sweet Taste of Success

And the verdict? Drumroll, please… Hilton Foods landed the deal, securing over 1000 jobs for the next five years!  But don’t just take our word for it – here’s what Grace Shearer, Marketing Manager at Hilton Food Group plc, had to say: “Thanks to the whole team for their creativity and hard work over such a short time frame.”
