Profile Roofing’s outdated brand didn’t reflect their expertise or reputation, failing to convey the professionalism and quality of their services. This lack of modernity deprived them of the prestige they deserved, potentially impacting their ability to attract and retain clients. Thus, revitalising their brand was crucial to aligning their image with their exceptional standards and asserting their leadership in the roofing industry.

In addition to needing a brand update, Profile Roofing faced the challenge of effectively communicating their range of services. To address this, a set of illustrations was created, now prominently featured across their website and marketing materials. These visuals serve as a clear and engaging way to showcase the various services offered by Profile Roofing, helping potential clients easily understand the breadth of their expertise.

This strategic use of illustrations not only modernises their brand but also ensures clarity in communicating their offerings, ultimately enhancing their marketing effectiveness and client engagement.

The logo itself ingeniously captures the essence of Profile Roofing’s expertise by incorporating the “profile” of three distinct roof styles. This clever design not only symbolises the company’s specialisation in various roofing types but also evokes a sense of professionalism and craftsmanship.

Batemans’ previous brand was a conglomeration of smaller rebrands, each operating independently and sometimes in competition with one another, depending on the product. This decentralised approach resulted in a lack of cohesive brand identity and strategy. Various sub-brands emerged, each vying for attention and diluting the overall brand message. This fragmentation made it challenging to manage and maintain a unified brand image across the brewery’s diverse product range.

The new, redesigned logo for Bateman's Brewery.

In evolving the brand, we aimed to preserve certain elements from the previous styles while enhancing the visibility and prominence of the company name. We recognised the importance of maintaining continuity with the past while injecting fresh vitality into the brand identity. To achieve this, we prioritised placing the company name as the primary focus, prominently displayed on a banner with an icon positioned above it. This strategic design choice ensures that the name commands attention and presence across all applications, reinforcing its significance and visibility in the brand’s narrative.

WITAN SOLICITORS

Witan Solicitors needed to be different in a sea of sameness so they could charge appropriately and grow fees.

PHd helps brands get noticed and attract more customers… not because they shout louder but because they are instantly different and credible. Witan wanted to shake up the typical legal look while staying professional.

When you stand out in a competitive market, you’re chosen on value. Blend in and you’ll be ignored or only ever compared on price.

If you’re being compared on price instead of value, talk to PHd.

The aim:

Launch a new name and gain market awareness.

The stuff:

Naming, trademarking, brand identity, website, literature and signage.

The results:

Fees increased month-on-month; stronger reputation and awareness.

As a newly formed firm emerging from the legacy of an earlier practice, Witan Solicitors required more than just a logo—they needed a complete brand architecture that would establish credibility from day one. We worked closely with the founding team to define their core messaging, tone of voice, and visual language, ensuring every element reflected their ambition to offer clear, client-centred legal services with a modern edge. From naming and identity design to digital assets and brand collateral, our approach was strategic and intentional, laying the groundwork for a cohesive and confident launch. The result is a brand that feels established yet contemporary—designed to instil trust, support growth, and stand tall in a crowded legal market.

To complement their new brand and support a confident digital launch, we created a bespoke suite of icons tailored to Witan Solicitors’ key service areas. Designed with clarity and consistency in mind, each icon served as a visual signpost—helping users quickly identify and navigate core legal offerings across the website. More than just functional assets, these icons played a vital role in bringing cohesion to the digital experience, reinforcing the visual identity, and adding a refined, approachable layer to the firm’s online presence.

TITANIC BREWERY

Titanic Brewery wanted to create a buzz that drove more purchases, not just brand awareness.

PHd’s design work helps businesses sell what they make… effective packaging and marketing turns attention into buys.

Getting attention is great, but turning that into repeat purchases; builds revenue.
Get it wrong and new products drift unnoticed.

If interest isn’t turning into revenue, let’s change that.

The aim:

Grow customer base and sales via new product range.

The stuff:

Seasonal pump clips, product names, packaging, cans and merch.

The results:

Sales increased on new lines; brand profile and product awareness rose.

A sketch depicting the proposed design changes for Titanic Brewery's logo.
A comparison of the old and new Titanic Brewery logos.

Starting with their logo, we applied some simple yet effective changes that have helped them better stand out in the evergrowing craft beer market.

The old logo, much like the new one features an illustration of the Titanic riding on the waves, something that felt appropriate for the brewery’s name and nautical theme. However, the design felt a bit dated and didn’t quite capture the modern and innovative spirit of the brewery’s beers. We redrew the illustration in a simpler, cleaner and more dynamic fashion that completely transforms the logo itself and made some technical tweaks to the size and spacing of the outer elements and text to allow for the logo to having the breathing space it needs in whatever medium!

An image of a branded Titanic Brewery keg.

Overall, the changes to the logo are subtle but impactful. By modernising the font and graphic elements, the new logo better captures the innovative and forward-thinking spirit of the brewery’s beers, while still staying true to their nautical theme and heritage.

In addition to the logo, Titanic Brewery has also updated their labels to feature bold colours and minimalist designs that stand out on the shelf. The result is a cohesive and modern look that better represents the quality and craftsmanship of their beers, and helps them better stand out in between the hipsters and lesser beers at your local craft beer retailer.

For the packaging, we created a ‘badge’ for each of the beers, allowing for beer drinkers across the land to easily identify and differentiate between them on the shelf. The packaging style has a similar aesthetic to the logo itself, being built around ship illustration. This helps channel brand consistency and in doing this we have ensured that their packaging is both visually cohesive and attractive, helping grab the attention of your local bearded beer enthusiast!

Lichfield Cathedral is an awe-inspiring structure rich in history that proudly stands tall in the heart of Lichfield, with a striking Gothic style and towering spires, intricate carvings and details, and an impressive collection of art and artifacts, including stained glass windows and ancient manuscripts. PHd Design was brought in to help create a brand strategy and visual identity that would better position Lichfield Cathedral in the minds of its audience. Through research and analysis, PHd Design was able to identify the core values and attributes that set the cathedral apart, and create a brand identity that effectively communicated these qualities.

The resulting brand identity for Lichfield Cathedral is based on a bold, contemporary design that still pays homage to the cathedral’s rich history and Gothic architecture. The visual identity includes a new logo, color palette, typography, and other design elements that are consistently applied across all communications and touchpoints.

PHd Design also created a guide book that condensed the cathedral’s rich history into an engaging and informative format.

The guide book features a clear and concise narrative that takes visitors on a journey through the cathedral’s 1300-year history, highlighting key events and milestones along the way. The text is complemented by beautiful imagery and illustrations that help bring the story to life and give readers a deeper understanding of the cathedral’s architecture, art, and artifacts.

HARA PROFESSIONAL

Hara needed the brand to feel premium so they could command higher price points.

Evolving a brand’s look and packaging helps customers see value before price, letting you protect your margins.

People pay more when they believe they deserve the premium… design helps them see that. Get it wrong and clients expect discounts.

If you’re discounting too often, let’s show your true value.

The aim:

Breathe fresh life into a long-standing brand.

The stuff:

Brand evolution, packaging redesign, extended range, POS and displays.

The results:

Sales volumes and revenue up; brand perception elevated.

Hara Professional’s identity began with a logotype carefully crafted from a base font and then refined to create a distinctive, recognisable mark. In the logo lockup, supporting elements are aligned to the left of the logotype, leaving purposeful space on the right to accommodate additional messaging or imagery. This thoughtful design guides the viewer’s eye forward, drawing attention seamlessly to the product and reinforcing Hara Professional’s confident, professional presence in the market.

Hara’s packaging lacked a cohesive visual identity and was uninspiring. The packaging failed to engage customers and didn’t communicate the brand’s values or unique selling proposition effectively.

However, by using distinctive product coloring, impactful call-to-action statements, and engaging composition layouts, Hara’s new product packaging strikes the perfect balance between consistency and individuality.

To ensure uniformity across the brand, every Hara product adheres to a specific template that displays relevant information in a consistent location on the packaging. This design decision was carefully considered to enable salon staff to quickly locate vital product information without having to spend excessive time searching for it. All the while looking great on the shelves!

The numbers.

Following the rebrand, HARA saw a 71% increase in overall sales, driven by a clearer identity, elevated design, and stronger brand messaging. The refreshed look and feel resonated deeply with both existing customers and new audiences, boosting engagement across all channels.

The nail range experienced a 119% sales surge, thanks to standout packaging, focused campaigns, and a more aspirational brand narrative. This repositioning turned a standard range into a must-have collection, attracting new interest and repeat purchases.

Most impressive was the 200% growth in eye and wax products. These ranges, once overlooked, became heroes of the brand through striking visuals, premium presentation, and improved retail presence—proof of the rebrand’s transformative power.

Quote from the customer

We found working with PHd incredibly easy. Rebranding a range is an incredibly complex process, but we felt supported the whole way.
They provided invaluable guidance, along with fabulous design concepts. We are delighted with the range and the response to the new branding has been incredible.

Claire LeBrun | National Beauty Manager

quotation marks

During the design process for Hara’s website, we took into account the website’s intended purpose and target audience. The primary visitors were beauty professionals seeking to learn more about the brand and access training videos and other brand resources. As a result, the website had to be user-friendly and easy to navigate, directing visitors to their intended destination quickly and efficiently. The main objective of the website was to educate visitors about the brand rather than directly selling products to them.

Hara’s brand position has undergone a dramatic transformation. Previously perceived as a budget brand relegated to storage rooms in many salons, Hara is now proudly displayed on shelves as a premium, highly-regarded brand. Our strategic branding and marketing initiatives have effectively communicated the brand’s unique value proposition, resulting in a significant increase in consumer demand and trust. A job well done!

FOUR OAKS FINANCIAL SERVICES

Four Oaks Financial wanted prospects to understand financial advice without fear or confusion.

PHd creates marketing that does the selling before the salesperson speaks… reducing objections and speeding up decisions.

When your materials work for you, you don’t have to over-explain or over-justify. Get it wrong and prospects hesitate or walk away.

If selling feels like hard work, let us do the heavy lifting.

The aim:

Remove barriers to financial planning early.

The stuff:

Rebrand, clearer language, infographics, segmented products, strapline and digital docs.

The results:

More customers, faster onboarding and easier conversations about value.

Four Oaks Financial Services Limited’s previous logo featured four oak leaves, a direct reference to the company’s name and the nearby Four Oaks area. We recognised the importance of retaining this element in the rebrand to ensure that the company maintained its existing brand recognition. By reimagining and refining the original design, we were able to modernise the logo while preserving its core visual identity, resulting in a refreshed and recognisable brand image.

After several rounds of revisions and careful consideration, we arrived at the final brand mark that perfectly encapsulated Four Oaks Financial Services Limited’s identity and values. The resulting logo represents an undeniable evolution from the previous branding, imbuing the brand with a sense of youthfulness and modernity, ensuring its longevity and versatility.

FOFS provides support to their clients across six core sectors: Retirement, Protection, Investments, Mortgages, Inheritance, and Corporate. Prior to their rebranding, their website and print media lacked clear navigation, resulting in a confusing and wordy collection of corporate jargon.

In order to eliminate any misunderstandings, we developed a system for navigation which employs specific icons and colors to simplify the different service areas of FOFS. These icons can now be used on all of their marketing materials.

Quote from the customer

After making the decision to rebrand a year ago and carefully considering various companies, we ultimately chose to collaborate with PHd Design.
